In the context of rapid social development and continuous technological advancement, myopia has become an increasingly important factor affecting public health, especially among adolescents, showing a high incidence and younger age trend. The importance and urgency of myopia prevention and control are becoming increasingly prominent.
The "Show Your Sherlock Holmes Eye - Myopia Management Detective Journey," hosted by the Beijing Eye Optometry Society, will hold a series of activities nationwide in 2025.
It will be conducted in the form of an academic competition, with multiple young optometrists and optometrists conducting case analysis, and industry experts will be invited to provide commentary and guidance.
We sincerely look forward to your participation! The relevant matters of the activity are announced as follows:
1. Activity Time: January - December 2025
2. Activity Format: Online + Offline
3. Activity Plan: This series of activities is divided into four phases, each with a different theme:
Phase 1: Detective Selection This is the qualification selection for participants, an online selection process. All professionals can apply. It is expected to hold 3 sessions from February to March, selecting a total of 30 people to form 6 competition teams. The actual number of sessions will be adjusted according to the number of applicants.
Phase 2: Wisdom's Path This is the 1st round of team scoring matches, an offline activity, expected to be held from March to June, with a total of 3 matches. Each match will have 2 teams competing, with expert commentary and scoring.
Phase 3: Path of Reasoning This is the 2nd round of team scoring matches, an offline activity, expected to be held from August to September, with a total of 3 matches. Each match will have 2 teams competing, with expert commentary and scoring.
Phase 4: Peak of Detection This is the national finals, expected to be held in December, with a total of 1 match.
6 teams will compete in the same match, presenting case reports, with expert commentary and scoring. The detailed schedule will be announced before each match.
